Political expert and Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemember Oleksandr Musiienko has stated that acts of sabotage in Europe, the failure to issue warnings about ballistic missile attacks, and the crisis involving the US may be the work of Russian intelligence services, Politeka reports.

He discussed the issue in his blog.

“We need to undertake extensive work with our European partners to gather intelligence on Russian influence and manipulation, including evidence that Russia may be carrying out one of the largest influence operations ever aimed at shaping the US agenda, interfering in elections, and influencing the US president,” Oleksandr Musiienko asserts.

According to him, the investigation should begin with acts of sabotage targeting Starlink in Europe and the arson attacks on antennas in Bulgaria, Poland, and Lithuania. The expert emphasizes that these incidents are taking place precisely as the crisis between Ukraine and the US is deepening. Russia may therefore be widening the rift to make dialogue more difficult for Ukraine. That is why these acts of sabotage must be thoroughly investigated.

He also notes that cases in which S-400 missiles struck Kyiv before an air raid alert was issued must be examined to determine the cause. According to the expert, there may be a technical explanation: either the US did not interpret the launch of S-400 missiles as a ballistic missile launch, or the Russians have upgraded their missiles, leaving American systems unable to cope with them.

If neither explanation is correct, he argues, the situation would point to a political decision. In that case, the US would bear responsibility for the deaths of Ukrainians, and this must be communicated to Americans through dialogue with members of Congress, political leaders, and the media—not through emotion alone, but also through facts.

“All these developments coincided with the beginning of the deepening crisis. Russia is manipulating the US to serve its own interests, which could indicate a conspiracy on an unprecedented scale. This could mean that Russian intelligence services are conducting one of the largest influence operations in their history, targeting the US and the decisions of its leadership. This information must also be made available to the American public,” Oleksandr Musiienko concludes.
