Political expert and Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko commented on Zelensky’s statement that there will be no favorable end to the war and explained what kind of victory is being discussed now, reports Politeka.
He spoke about this in his blog.
According to the president, the expert says, there can be no solution in the war that is beneficial to both Ukraine and Russia. Therefore, the real victory now is to stop the fighting and freeze the war along the front line. Of course, he notes, victory means restoring justice and legality, because an aggressor attacked us, violating every possible statute, norm of international law, and moral principle. But for now, a different approach is needed.
“Unfortunately, we have to speak frankly: despite the successes announced by Brigadier General Biletsky, and despite the truly outstanding operation by the Defense Forces in the Lyman sector, the enemy has achieved tactical successes and is advancing in the Kostiantynivka sector. We have to tell the truth. We push them out in one place, while they push us back in another. That is the reality of this war today,” Oleksandr Musiienko states.
Of course, he emphasizes, true victory in the war will come when we manage to destroy Russia with its expansionism and cannibalistic ideology, and when Moscow ceases to be the center of a criminal empire. But until that happens, the expert says, there will be intermediate stages, even though they are not yet victory.
“Some solutions are needed that are aimed first and foremost at helping people survive now, helping our cities survive, and preventing our economy from being lost, because the enemy continues to damage our economic potential, causing a crisis in the labor market, problems with payments, and so on. And this is the interim stage right now. At this interim stage, we need to survive, consolidate ourselves, and continue to develop as an independent, sovereign, free state of people who are becoming more militarized and stronger from within. That is why the president says: ‘This is our victory right now.’ Victory means freezing the war along the front line,” Oleksandr Musiienko explains.
