Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko stated that Russia has sunk so low it is now begging North Korea for help—something it never even considered before—and is paying a high price for it, as reported by Politeka.

He shared this in his blog.

“Reuters published a rather serious investigation which reveals that Russian artillery is now virtually dependent on supplies from North Korea. North Korea is the one providing and supplying them—once again debunking the myths and claims of Russian propagandists who said that by increasing state budget spending, they planned to produce nearly 5 million artillery shells in 2024–2025. As we can see, contrary to the statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense, that money isn’t magically turning into ammunition,” Musiienko explained.

He also recalled that the Secretary of Russia’s Security Council recently visited Pyongyang to discuss precisely the issue of additional arms supplies, particularly shells. Therefore, the expert concludes, Russia’s dependency on North Korea has reached a peak—but it’s important to understand that Putin is paying for this help.

Previously, Musiienko noted, Putin wouldn’t even glance in North Korea’s direction—not a single visit. Now, however, he’s coming to Kim Jong Un with an outstretched hand, asking for help—and in exchange, offering Russian technologies.

“It was once unimaginable that Moscow would hand over unique, innovative technologies related to submarines, nuclear sub development projects—projects currently under Kremlin oversight, supervised by Comrade Patrushev. It was hard to even picture this, but now we see it unfolding right before our eyes. Russia is paying for outdated artillery shells from North Korean warehouses—and for a few thousand North Korean soldiers, who are being eliminated by Ukraine’s Armed Forces—with its most advanced technologies,” - Musiienko concluded.
