Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman says Trump demonstrated his ability to pressure by threatening Iran that it will be tougher, but he still can't bring himself to do the same with Russia, Politeka reports.

According to the expert, after Israel's attack, the Iranian authorities said they would not participate in negotiations with the US on the nuclear program. In his opinion, Trump should have come out at that moment and said that negotiations were about to take place, and Israel struck Iran at such an inopportune time, disrupting them, and he should have already called Ayatollah Khamenei, expressing condolences about the strikes on peaceful nuclear facilities that were heading nowhere.
"But no, that's not true at all. Trump says that everything will be even tougher if Iran doesn't make a deal with the US. That is, it turns out he knows how to pressure. It turns out that he can do it when necessary. But imagine that after the brilliantly executed SBU operation "Web", the next day or better an hour later Trump would have called Putin and said: "So, it will be even tougher if you do not make a deal with Ukraine." Do you understand that this would have had an effect? And not the snot that Trump is winding around his fist after the attacks of the Ukrainian special service on the territory of the Russian Federation. This snot does not lead to any peace. You can sign the Budapest Memorandum with this snot," Mikhail Sheitelman reasons.
He also notes that Israel has already managed to offer Iran a very advantageous deal. As the expert says, it is about Iran either allowing Israel to calmly destroy nuclear facilities without a tough response, or Israel will also begin bombing Iranian oil refineries, which will destroy the country's economy.
"This is the kind of conversation with the Russian Federation that should take place, not whining, do you understand? This is what is called without whining. Naturally, I mean from the US side, not from the Ukrainian side. Ukraine is already doing everything it can to destroy oil refineries and everything else," concludes Mikhail Sheitelman.
