Military expert Oleh Starikov stated that Russia seems to have abandoned its taboo on striking decision-making centers, but even worse are strikes on bridges that literally divide Ukraine, reports Politeka.
He spoke about this on his channel.

According to the expert, from a political point of view, the Russian strike on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was a strike on the very building where decisions are made, with the goal of intimidation and coercion into peace. Moreover, he emphasizes, there were no casualties after this strike, no one was killed, so it was purely a method of intimidation.

“Intimidation of whom? Ordinary people like you and me? No. Then whom? Naturally, we understand whom. Yes, it is intimidation of the highest political leadership of Ukraine. Until now, apparently, there was some kind of taboo on Russia’s part. But on the night of September 6–7, which is precisely the Day of Military Intelligence, that red line was crossed,” Oleh Starikov stressed.

Overall, he reasons, the Russian missile strike on the Cabinet of Ministers building is significant, but in terms of the Russo-Ukrainian war and geopolitics, the recent “Geran” drone strike on the Kryukiv Bridge in Kremenchuk is even more important, because it connects the two banks of the Dnipro. In other words, the expert explains, this is literally the division of Ukraine, which is highly significant against the backdrop of various Russian maps showing what they still plan to capture, where buffer zones should be, and so on.

“This is literally the division of Ukraine. And second, these are strikes on transport hubs. Militarily, this means separating and marking the place of a future theater of military operations. It’s about borders,” Oleh Starikov explains.
