Political strategist Mykhailo Sheitelman spoke about the work of the Ukrainian delegation ahead of Zelensky’s visit to Washington and shared his thoughts on what agreements might be reached between him and Trump, Politeka reports.

He discussed this in his blog.

According to the expert, if it comes to the delivery of Tomahawk missiles, the announcement will likely come from Trump himself — "he loves to make such statements." Meanwhile, Sheitelman says, the Ukrainian delegation visited the manufacturers of these missiles — Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

“I suspect they were shown capabilities there. I mean, what else? It’s not like our people are there for sightseeing. Most likely, they discussed these new ground-based launchers that were recently unveiled and, as it turns out, do exist. With this HIMARS-like system, we could easily launch as many Tomahawks as the U.S. is willing to give us,” Sheitelman notes.

In addition, the expert says, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Svyrydenko met with U.S. Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo, and according to her, they are continuing the dialogue between the two countries’ leaders and are moving rapidly on the Investment Recovery Fund, which has already begun operations — only a few technicalities remain.

“This is exactly what I warned about: there’s a real possibility that on Friday, Zelensky will be brought into a mega-project — ‘Ukraine replaces China as the U.S. supplier of rare earth elements.’ And accordingly, Svyrydenko is preparing this part of the negotiations between Trump and Zelensky. And at the same time, making sure there’s a way to pay for the Tomahawks. As I said, America contributes Tomahawks to this fund, and we contribute mining rights for scandium. That’s business,” concludes Mykhailo Sheitelman.
