Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko said that the war can be taken onto enemy territory not only with long-range strikes but also by supporting opposition movements, Politeka reports.
He described this in his blog.
As the expert notes, bringing the war onto enemy territory is an absolutely correct strategy and it must work. But in addition to striking Russian military targets and oil refineries to reduce the enemy’s capabilities and the funds flowing to the war, he points out, this can be done in a broader context — in particular, by supporting and interacting with Russian movements that are potentially ready for armed struggle against the Putin regime.
“And there has already been one operation on Russian territory. It was then carried out by the UAF Special Operations Forces in coordination with movements opposed to Putin. And now there is news reported by the press service of the GUR,” Oleksandr Musiienko says.
On October 22, the expert says, as a result of a successful operation by the GUR and forces of the Movement for the Liberation of the Caucasus, at least three servicemen of the 247th Caucasian Cossack Regiment of the Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) were eliminated in Stavropol. In other words, he emphasizes, this was a GUR attack on Russian territory against their own military, planned together with a Russian opposition movement — apparently there is already some groundwork in this kind of work.
“On the released video of an intercepted conversation of security personnel it becomes clear that the Russian soldiers were blown up right near the checkpoint of the military unit. Just like that. So this is also an element of taking the war onto enemy territory, which, without doubt, needs to be scaled up. And those movements that fight the Putin regime and fight for their freedom, for the freedom of the peoples of the Caucasus, must be supported. That is important,” Oleksandr Musiienko emphasizes.
