Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman explained that during World War II the Olympic Games were not held, and that they should not be held now either, because we are on the brink of a major war of everyone against everyone, Politeka reports.
He said this on his blog.
According to the expert, the Olympic Games today have become something vulgar. Yes, he acknowledges, it’s beautiful, Italy put on a great show, but we are now finishing the fourth year of war, so all of this is inappropriate.
“What kind of Olympics are we talking about? I’m quoting now the collective mindset of everyone who writes about this on various social networks. The Olympics are a symbol of peace and friendship between nations. Look around. What peace and friendship between nations? Where are they? Look, we are at the beginning of an absolute war of everyone against everyone. What Olympics? The Olympics are supposed to show that everything is fine on our planet. But everything is very bad on our planet. Whom are we trying to deceive with these Olympics? Aliens? Look, we have a torch here, we lit it, we have a stadium, we’re all dancing,” Mikhail Sheitelman explains.
As the expert claims, by holding these Olympics we are deceiving ourselves. According to him, this is not about Ukrainians, not even about Italians, but about the entire civilized world: we are deceiving ourselves by holding the Olympic Games.
“During World War II, it would theoretically have been possible to hold the Olympic Games somewhere in Brazil, but they didn’t do it. They understood that it was inappropriate, that the world was literally torn to shreds. And now the world is torn to shreds again. So what are we even talking about? What Olympic Games? That’s probably why I don’t have much interest. And overall, I personally don’t feel the Olympic vibe,” Mikhail Sheitelman concludes.
