Political strategist Mykhailo Sheitelman stated that if Karol Nawrocki wants Poland to pursue a nuclear project, it would be worth considering developing joint nuclear weapons together with Ukraine, reports Politeka.
He spoke about this on his blog.
“Another step toward the collapse of Russia’s power was made by Polish President Nawrocki. After all, when everyone was criticizing him, I said that Poland is a country friendly to us. Nawrocki often brings up old disputes between Ukrainians and Poles, but he is definitely not for Putin and certainly not pro-Russian. That is what matters most to us, and everything else can be dealt with. I said this during Nawrocki’s election. And now he is justifying my confidence and politically meeting my expectations. He stated that he is a strong supporter of Poland joining the nuclear project,” Mykhailo Sheitelman noted.
According to Nawrocki, the expert continues, Poland should follow this path because it is on the border of an armed conflict and is well aware of Russia’s attitude toward it. In addition, he says that when asked about Russia’s possible reaction to Poland beginning work on a nuclear program, Nawrocki replied that Russia can react aggressively to anything — so if that is the case, what difference does it make.
Thus, the expert concludes, Nawrocki supports Poland becoming a nuclear power with its own nuclear weapons. According to him, Poland is gradually becoming comparable to major European countries such as Germany, France, and Italy, so a nuclear program would be logical.
“I personally believe that, considering Ukraine’s experience in nuclear energy, the joint development of Ukrainian-Polish nuclear weapons would be a tremendous victory. We jointly hosted the European Football Championship, and we could jointly develop Ukrainian-Polish nuclear weapons. That would be a symbol of eternal friendship between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples — if we had joint nuclear weapons, naturally aimed only at absolute rogue states. Not against any normal countries, but only against Russia, Iran, and North Korea — those who are either fighting against us today or whose weapons are being used in this war,” Mykhailo Sheitelman concluded.
