Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman said that at the first meeting of Trump’s Peace Council, Trump delivered a speech about everything under the sun, and that the whole event was clearly organized simply to raise money, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this on his blog.
“It reminded me of a prayer breakfast. Very much like a prayer breakfast — only without the prayer and without the breakfast. And tickets cost a billion dollars. Who remembers the 26th Congress of the CPSU? The Central Committee of the CPSU is already seated in advance, the curtains open — and they’re already sitting there. Then the members of the Politburo walk in, and finally Brezhnev strides in proudly. This was exactly the same. These presidents were already seated when the broadcast began, then the members of the Politburo entered — there turned out to be only four of them, and you know them well: Vance, Rubio, Witkoff, and Kushner. And presiding over it all was Trump. They had a separate table — the table for adults, while the others were like tables for children,” Sheitelman commented.
According to him, in his speech Trump kept losing his train of thought, jumping from one topic to another, and ultimately said nothing substantial. In his remarks, the expert says, Trump declared that the Peace Council was the most important organization in his life; that he had stopped every war in two days; that the building they were sitting in had been built by Rubio; that Bahrain and Kazakhstan have a lot of money; that Indonesia has a large population; that India and Pakistan ended their war because they were threatened with losing funding; that the president of Paraguay is a young and handsome man; that the president of Qatar should create a PR agency; that the president of Uzbekistan has a difficult name; that Vance did well in school; that everyone loves Witkoff; that a good movie had been made about Melania; that there will be an important meeting in Japan; and so on.
He claims it was a circus, and that the presidents of many countries agreed to play the role of clowns. The expert also recalled an interview with Witkoff in which he said he became friends with Trump after buying him shawarma; now, Witkoff allegedly provides free flights for Kushner’s son-in-law for negotiations so that money does not leave the family.
“This is exactly why Trump hired these 18 presidents. They are all wallets for him. He hasn’t yet realized that Armenia has no money — otherwise he would have expelled Armenia already. Azerbaijan is needed to take money out of its wallet, and Pashinyan is needed to shake Aliyev’s hand. Otherwise, how would it work? Trump is the great peacemaker — who would shake Aliyev’s hand? You have to bring in Pashinyan. Pashinyan has no money, but he does shake hands. I think every meeting of the Peace Council will start with the same sketch — Pashinyan shaking hands with Aliyev. It will be the same act over and over again, because there’s nothing else,” Mikhail Sheitelman concluded.
