Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman stated that the space for peace on the planet seems to be gradually disappearing, as even Abu Dhabi — where negotiations were held — is now being bombed by Iran because of the United States, Politeka reports.
He spoke about this on his blog.
According to the expert, the latest global events are pure meta-irony. As he explains, when peace negotiations with the Russians began, Abu Dhabi was not chosen as a venue by chance — it was considered neutral territory, a place where peace prevailed, calm and tranquility reigned, with excellent conditions for meetings, beautiful offices, and bright sunshine. But now drones and missiles from Iran are flying there. The most recent negotiations, the expert recalls, were held in Geneva — and we can only hope nothing starts there as well.
“The irony is that space for peace seems to be disappearing from the planet. It is vanishing in principle. What is particularly surprising is that a year ago, during his inauguration, Donald Trump said: ‘I came to be a president who will be a peacekeeper and a unifier.’ In other words, a peacemaker and a unifier. So far, it seems that Donald Trump has united us all only in the sense that war has spread everywhere. War has united everyone — not peace, but war. In that sense, yes, he has become a unifier,” Mikhail Sheitelman commented.
By way of illustration, the expert cites interesting statistics from Breaking News claiming that Donald Trump became the first U.S. president in a year to bomb seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.
“This is interesting. Because a man came to be a peacemaker and a unifier, but something went wrong. Something went wrong. And with these peace negotiations (ed. — between Ukraine and Russia), something also went wrong,” Mikhail Sheitelman emphasized.
