Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko explained that breakthroughs on the front line are impossible, so the war will be decided in the air — through exchanges of long-range strikes, Politeka reports. He said this in his blog.

“The war will change. There may be no military solution on the front line; the war will transform. We will rely more and more on long-range strikes, and we can see that this is working. But the enemy will also try. So the nature of the war will change somewhat,” Musiienko states.

Directly on the front line, the expert notes, nothing can be decided anymore, because the Defense Forces are blocking the enemy’s advance, inflicting maximum losses, and disrupting its logistics. According to him, the enemy cannot develop an operational-strategic offensive; any advances can only be tactical in nature.

“What I mean is that, ultimately, everything will be decided through strikes, through exchanges of strikes. Therefore, we need to strengthen air defense and long-range capabilities. In this way, we will force Russia to enter negotiations, taking into account Ukrainian conditions and interests — this is very important. Mid-strikes, deep strikes. All resources must be directed to this right now in order to eventually put not a full stop, but an ellipsis in this war,” Musiienko explains.

According to him, this will not mean the end of the war; rather, it would be a ceasefire that could last a long time. At the same time, preparations must continue to repel Russia in the future and to reclaim occupied territories. And, the expert concludes, this can only be achieved through our strikes and the strengthening of air defense.
