A quiet civil war is underway inside the United States, says an expert about the assassination attempt at the White House

Political analyst Ruslan Bortnik explained that each attempt on Trump’s life distorts his psyche, hardens his views, and this time the shooter also supports Ukraine, which will have negative consequences. He spoke about this in his blog.

At one point, the expert notes, a bullet had already struck Trump, wounding his ear, but the main point is that these assassination attempts distort his psyche. That is, he explains, if the bullet had flown 2 cm to the side back then, there would be no Republican president, there would be no MAGA, and this is not the first attempt, so Trump has sincerely come to believe that he is a kind of semi-messiah, that God spared him to carry out his entire program. Moreover, the expert adds, Trump’s radicalism and contradictions may partly be a post-traumatic syndrome following these attempts.

“This will further strengthen Trump’s sense that he is surrounded by enemies, that Democrats and liberals are trying to physically kill him. This assassination attempt, by the way, once again shows what kind of quiet civil war is taking place within the United States, how unstable and fractured everything is. After all, highly educated people are taking up weapons and trying to kill the U.S. president or his entourage,” explains Ruslan Bortnik.

In addition, the expert notes, this assassination attempt will also have an effect on Ukraine, because the American press is full of reports that the shooter supported Ukraine, raised funds, and so on. Of course, he reasons, this will not radically affect Trump’s attitude toward Ukraine, but it will maintain a high level of latent negativity toward Ukraine.

“Therefore, I am more concerned about the effect on Trump’s psyche, as well as further effects on his inner circle, because the shooter stated that he wanted to shoot the president’s entourage. This entire team will become increasingly radicalized, closed off, and hardened against the backdrop of this attack,” warns Ruslan Bortnik.
