Political expert and serviceman Oleksandr Musiienko spoke about the explosions and detonation at the 51st Arsenal of the Main Missile Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the Vladimir region, reports Politeka.

He shared the details on his blog.

“There is good news. The fact is that on Russian territory, just 60 kilometers from Moscow, an arsenal of the Main Missile Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense is exploding — one of the largest facilities for the storage of ammunition and missiles. Details are still emerging, but for now, it can be said that it most likely contained Iskander ballistic missiles, and possibly North Korean KN-23s, along with other types of munitions,” Musiienko explains.

According to the expert, some observers suggest that the arsenal may also have contained new types of missiles developed by Russia in collaboration with North Korea and Iran. In other words, he speculates, it is interesting to consider how capable the Russians are of working with missiles like the Fateh, Zolfaghar, and KN-23, and possibly even developing some kind of monster.

Overall, the expert reports, the arsenal covers a vast area. The regional governor announced the evacuation of 3,000 civilians from nearby settlements, and detonation and fire are still ongoing.

“It’s worth noting that this is not Russia’s first arsenal loss. I’d like to remind everyone that in 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Toropets, which triggered even an earthquake, massive detonations, and fires, as well as hits on Kotluban and other sites that were destroyed and burned. So this is yet another arsenal Russia is losing,” Musiienko concludes.
