Military expert Oleh Starikov shared his thoughts on whether the United States will really withdraw from the peace process in three weeks and whether Ukraine is already preparing for the worst-case scenario, as reported by Bild, according to Politeka.

He spoke about this on his channel.

"I wouldn’t jump to conclusions, which both our media and foreign ones are quick to make—except for those who support President Trump, the so-called 'nationals.' Meanwhile, the transnationals are rushing to say: 'Boss, it’s all over – the cast is off, the patient’s leaving.' As if Trump abandoned everyone, had his fun, and took off," Starikov reflected.

In his opinion, after London, the negotiations didn’t fall apart but were simply postponed. This conclusion can be drawn from analyzing the current events. However, the expert notes, Trump remains committed to his plan for a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine war.

Trump

"The Trump administration allocated time from April 10 to 30 to resolve the issues related to ending the Russia-Ukraine war politically. Once again, I want to emphasize that there are political and military components. Today is April 25, so there are still 5 days left. And 5 days is a lot of time for the powerful of this world," says Starikov.

And one shouldn’t think, he adds, that the Trump administration lacks the strength or means to solve this problem—otherwise, Trump’s and the Republicans’ ratings will drop significantly before the congressional elections. In general, the expert emphasizes, Trump has achieved a lot in his years—he was elected president once, then lost, and now he’s been elected again. So, he definitely does not intend to lose in the Russia-Ukraine war; he’s staked too much on victory.
